image of investors TerminalAn initiative of Economic Programming is to inform you for the New Development Law 3908/2011.

The New Development Law has been approved by the Hellenic Parliament and applications may be submitted in the first quarter of 2011.

The New law is the basis for the development model, the country is to follow. It aims to support sustainable investment projects with high economic efficiency. Subsidies will be based on tax relief with tax breaks, favourable loans and equity for selected investments. Based on information currently available the deadline for the first call to submit applications under the new law will be the 30th of April 2011.

According to the new Development Law, the country is divided into 3 zones and investing enterprises are divided into 3 categories according to their size (large, medium, small and very small). The subsidies, which depend on company size and location, reach a percentage as high as 50%.

At the same time, the law introduces clear and measurable criteria of evaluation to ensure integrity. All applications will be evaluated within the semester following the application.
